A fully booked delegation of Bondholders joined us for a unique behind the scenes experience to discover why Siemens Gamesa are pioneers in the green revolution of the Humber.

Siemens Gamesa, the world’s leader in the offshore wind industry, is set to expand its successful offshore blade factory in Hull by 41,600 square meters, more than doubling the size of the manufacturing facilities. Remaining the largest offshore wind manufacturing facility in the UK, the expansion represents an investment of £186 million and is planned to be completed in 2023.

Each tour started with a light networking brunch, followed by a “wellbeing moment" led by boxing champion Tommy Coyle, part of their award-winning health and wellbeing initiative dedicated to transforming lives and improving their workforce's wellbeing.

From there the group met colleagues from a range of diverse backgrounds who will proudly share their work in diversity and inclusion, modernising manufacturing and developing future talent.

On the behind-the-scenes factory tour, the group saw first hand how Siemens Gamesa continue to innovate to build quality blades safely and efficiently and get up close with the titans of the North Sea, stretching just over 81 metres long.
